David Griffin: Premier Voiceover Artist
David Griffin’s career began out of high school, enlisting in the United States Air Force and serving honorably from 1969 through 1971. His communications and political career started in 1977, representing the City of Telluride, Colorado. Griffin was hired to seek financial support from the state of Colorado’s legislature for Telluride’s musical event efforts during the growth years of 1977-1979. Colorado did, in fact, provide significant financial support for Telluride’s Jazz and Blues Festival. He was responsible for the success of that event and for developing Telluride’s national media relations, public relations and publicity strategies. Returning to Albuquerque, New Mexico, Griffin finished his academic career at the University of New Mexico as a cum laude student majoring in political science, history and mass communications.
Career
Griffin began his broadcast journalism career in 1984 as a reporter and news anchor with Albuquerque based news station Kkob-am/fm, gaining widespread recognition in New Mexico’s media community. He moved to television as a Fox local network news anchor from 1985 – 1993. During that time he also started his career as a voice actor.

He formed High Desert Broadcast Communications in 1994, with expertise in political consulting, media relations, creative, marketing, radio, print, television production and public relations. Griffin has an extensive background in various media disciplines, having been involved with political and business growth campaigns at all levels locally, regionally and nationally to present day.
Political
Griffin has held various political campaign posts over the last thirty-five years, primarily managing campaigns, including all forms of media. Over the last 25 years, from the Gore-Lieberman 2000 presidential campaign as N.M. media consultant, creative and media buyer, to helping elect N.M. Judicial, Public Regulation Commissioners and Mayoral candidates, he has worked for both Democratic and Republican candidates, working for the candidate, and not the party. He has worked as a copywriter, was in charge of TV, radio and digital production and as a voice actor/narrator. He has also won a variety of awards as a voice actor, and video/audio producer/director.
Over the course of his career, David Griffin has developed an enduring understanding and appreciation of the American people, and therefore possesses the ability to work successfully with an array of individuals, businesses and political organizations.
